Almonds are a leading source among nuts of monounsaturated fat (over 60% ) and this leads to almonds having a cholesterol lowering effect; one of the richest source of vitamin E (alpha-tocopherol), this form of vitamin E is easily absorbed by the body, almonds are supportive in weight control; helps in reducing blood sugar levels;
Apricots are very rich in carotenoids, like beta carotene ( 1 oz contains 40% of RDA of vitamin A, 9% of RDA of potassium, 8% RDA of vitamin E, 2% of RDA of iron; almonds are good for our eyes.
Dates are a nutrient dense powerhouse; 15% of RDA of dietary fiber; contains potassium, magnesium, B-vitamins, iron; dates are a sweet and low fat snack with 24 calories per date; 5-6 dates equal one serving of fruit;
Vanilla people use vanilla for conditions such as intestinal gas, fever, tooth decay, to increase sexual desire (as an aphrodisiac), and to reduce anxiety, but there is no good scientific evidence to support these uses. In foods and beverages, vanilla is a well-known flavoring. In manufacturing, vanilla is used as a flavoring in syrups for medications. It is also used as a fragrance in perfumes.
NOTE: I heard and read up on soaking and dehydrating almonds to reduce phytates (phytic acid) and the inhibitions of enzymes and macro nutrients. This however is inconclusive but an interesting thought. Unfortunately this tedious process is cumbersome and costly for manufactures. Due to this fact it is not of interest amongst the CPG companies and industry. I am willing to do what is good for our body and what is wanted by my great customers.
